1. Overview

IPcheckly.com provides an IP intelligence API and related data services (“Service”) to you (“Customer”). By using the Service, you agree to use it responsibly and in accordance with these Terms.

Misuse of the Service — including creating multiple accounts to bypass limits, fraudulent activity, or unauthorized use of payment methods — may result in suspension or termination of your account and API access.

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on your plan. Both you and IPcheckly.com may cancel at the end of a billing period. Fees are non-refundable.

The free tier is intended for testing and development only and may not be used in production or commercial applications. Creating multiple accounts to extend free usage is not allowed.

You retain ownership of any personal data you provide. IPcheckly.com acts solely as a data processor. For GDPR-related documentation, including our Data Processing Agreement (DPA), contact: [email protected] .

We may update these Terms, pricing, or Service functionality at any time. Pricing changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any updates.

While we strive to provide accurate and reliable data, we do not guarantee completeness or accuracy. The Service is provided “as is,” and use is at your own risk. IPcheckly.com is not liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from its use.

2. Products and Services

IPcheckly.com offers two types of products:

  • API Data Subscriptions — real-time IP lookups via API
  • Database Products — downloadable datasets (CSV, JSON, MMDB)

Available datasets may include:

  • Business Subscription
  • IP to Hosting Database
  • IP to Geolocation Database
  • IP to ASN Database
  • IP to VPN Database
  • IP to VPN Database

2.1 Business Subscription

Business subscriptions provide access to datasets equivalent to API results in downloadable formats. Database formats are either in CSV, JSON or MMDB.

Most datasets are updated daily. Some datasets (such as geolocation) are updated less frequently due to slower data changes, while security-related datasets (e.g., proxy or abuse indicators) are updated more frequently.

2.2 License Grant and Permitted Use

Upon successful purchase or subscription, IPcheckly.com grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to access and use the Database Products and API Data Subscriptions solely for the internal business purposes of the legal entity that has entered into these Terms.

Any affiliate or contractor accessing the data on your behalf must do so exclusively for your benefit, be bound by written confidentiality obligations no less protective than these Terms, and must not retain, reuse, or otherwise exploit the data for independent purposes.

You may use the data strictly to support internal operations, including decision-making, analytics, fraud prevention, security, personalization, and workflows directly related to your products or services. Permitted uses include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluating, scoring, blocking, or challenging potentially malicious users or traffic within your systems
  • Enriching internal logs or analytics for routing, localization, personalization, or abuse detection, provided such data is not externally redistributed
  • Displaying processed data within internal dashboards accessible only to authorized personnel
  • Sharing limited excerpts for customer support or communications, provided such disclosures do not exceed a negligible portion of the dataset
  • Temporarily caching API responses for up to thirty (30) days for performance or reliability purposes, after which such data must be refreshed or deleted

Any derived outputs, including scoring models or analytics, must irreversibly transform the underlying data such that reconstruction of the original dataset is not feasible. Public-facing use must be limited to aggregated, anonymized, or illustrative formats that do not enable querying or extraction of the underlying data.

For the purposes of these Terms, a “negligible portion” means no more than 1% of the database or 10,000 records (whichever is smaller), calculated over a rolling thirty (30) day period.

2.3 Restrictions and Prohibited Uses

You agree not to engage in any of the following activities:

  • Resale or Redistribution: Selling, licensing, sublicensing, leasing, or otherwise distributing IPcheckly.com data to third parties, including in modified or reformatted form. Sharing more than a negligible portion of the dataset is strictly prohibited.
  • Intermediary or White-Label Services: Using the data to create or operate a competing service, including IP intelligence, geolocation, or threat intelligence platforms, or making the data available via APIs, feeds, or subscription-based services for third parties.
  • Public Disclosure: Publishing or exposing data in a way that allows third parties to access, extract, scrape, or reconstruct the dataset beyond a negligible portion.
  • Data Manipulation for Redistribution: Making superficial or cosmetic modifications to obscure the origin of the data or facilitate unauthorized use or redistribution.
  • Unauthorized Third-Party Access: Granting ongoing access to third parties unless they are contractually bound to use the data solely for your benefit, comply with these Terms, and delete the data upon completion of their services. You remain fully responsible for their actions.
  • Reverse Engineering or Derivative Databases: Creating datasets, tools, or models that enable extraction, reconstruction, or replication of IPcheckly.com data, or training competing products or services using the data.
  • Unlawful Use: Using the data in violation of any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights, or attempting to bypass technical safeguards such as rate limits or access controls.

2.4 Data Protection and Security

You must implement and maintain appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect IPcheckly.com data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Such measures include, at a minimum:

  • Secure storage practices to prevent unauthorized access or data leakage
  • Restricting access to authorized personnel only
  • Regular review and updating of security controls in line with industry standards
  • Encryption of data both in transit and at rest
  • Implementation of access control and authentication mechanisms

You must notify IPcheckly.com at [email protected] within seventy-two (72) hours of becoming aware of any actual or suspected data breach, unauthorized access, or misuse.

2.5 Data Retention and Deletion

You may retain IPcheckly.com data only while maintaining an active subscription and solely for permitted purposes under these Terms.

You must delete or overwrite outdated database versions within ninety (90) days of receiving updated releases, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Upon termination or expiration of your subscription, you must permanently delete all copies of the data—including backups and cached content—within thirty (30) days. Upon request, you must provide written confirmation of such deletion.

Any derived data or outputs must not allow reconstruction of more than a negligible portion of the original dataset.

2.6 Compliance and Audit

You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations in connection with your use of IPcheckly.com data.

You must maintain accurate records of data usage, including access logs and API credentials, for a minimum of twelve (12) months. Upon reasonable notice, IPcheckly.com reserves the right to audit your compliance, either remotely or on-site.

You agree to provide access to relevant systems, documentation, and personnel as necessary and to promptly address any identified non-compliance at your own expense. Failure to cooperate may result in suspension or termination of access.

2.7 Suspension and Termination

IPcheckly.com reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to its services at its sole discretion, including in cases of suspected or actual violations of these Terms, non-payment, or legal or regulatory requirements.

Upon termination, you must immediately cease all use of the services, disable API access, and delete all data, including any derived datasets primarily based on IPcheckly.com data. Written confirmation of deletion must be provided within ten (10) days upon request.

IPcheckly.com reserves the right to pursue legal remedies, including injunctive relief and damages, for any unauthorized use following termination.

2.8 Amendments

IPcheckly.com may update or modify these Terms from time to time. Any changes will become effective upon notice.

Continued use of the services after such notice constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must discontinue use of the services and terminate your subscription.

3. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. You should review these Terms carefully before using the Service. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

If you accept these Terms on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the legal authority to bind that organization to these Terms. If you do not have such authority, you must not use the Service on behalf of the organization.

4. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time, including to reflect changes in our services, features, or legal requirements.

Any updates will become effective immediately upon posting the revised Terms on the website, unless otherwise specified. Where applicable, we may also require your explicit acceptance of the updated Terms (for example, through a click-through confirmation).

It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for any changes.

Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and, if applicable, notify us of your intention to terminate your subscription.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service may include links to third-party websites, services, or applications that are not owned or controlled by us. In addition, certain features of the Service may rely on or integrate with third-party providers.

Your use of any third-party services is governed solely by the terms and policies of those third parties. We are not responsible for the content, practices, or policies of any third-party services.

We encourage you to review the terms of service and privacy policies of any third-party services you access or use.

7. Account Registration and Security

When you create an account or access the Service through a third-party login provider, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials, including your password.

You accept full responsibility for all activities that occur under your account, including any unauthorized access resulting from your failure to safeguard your credentials.

If you become aware of or suspect any unauthorized access, security breach, or misuse of your account, you must notify us promptly at [email protected] .

8. User Content and Conduct

The Service may allow you and other users to post, submit, link, or otherwise make content available (“Content”). You are solely responsible for any Content you make available through the Service, including its legality, accuracy, and appropriateness.

By submitting Content to the Service, you grant IPcheckly.com a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute such Content solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and providing the Service. This may include formatting or adapting Content for display, but does not include altering its substantive meaning.

Except for the limited rights granted above, you retain ownership of your Content.

You may remove your Content at any time by deleting it. Upon deletion, the Content will no longer be publicly accessible through the Service; however, residual copies may remain in backup systems or logs for a limited period. Server access logs are retained for no longer than seven (7) days.

Prohibited Content

You agree not to post or make available any Content that:

  • Is defamatory, libelous, fraudulent, deceptive, or otherwise misleading
  • Is unlawful or promotes illegal activity
  • Infringes or violates any intellectual property or other rights of any third party
  • Constitutes unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, or spam
  • Contains personal or sensitive information of third parties without proper authorization
  • Contains viruses, malware, or other harmful or disruptive code

Prohibited Conduct

In connection with your use of the Service, you agree not to:

  • Use the Service in a manner that interferes with, disrupts, or negatively affects other users or the functionality of the Service
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
  • Collect, harvest, or otherwise obtain personal information about other users without their consent
  • Harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm other users
  • Create an account or submit Content if you are under the age of 13
  • Circumvent or attempt to bypass any security measures, rate limits, or access controls implemented by the Service

9. IPcheckly.com Materials

The Service, including but not limited to its design, layout, logo, text, graphics, images, and other content (excluding user-provided Content), is owned by IPcheckly.com or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, IPcheckly.com grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the Service for its intended purposes.

Unless expressly permitted, you may not:

  • Publicly display, perform, or otherwise exploit the Service or its content
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the Service
  • Use automated tools (such as bots, scrapers, or data mining tools) to access or extract data from the Service
  • Download or copy any portion of the Service, except for standard caching necessary for normal use
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the underlying structure or functionality of the Service
  • Use the Service to develop or support a competing product or service

Any unauthorized use of the Service may result in suspension or termination of your access.

10. Hyperlinks and Third-Party Content

You may create a hyperlink to the Service, provided that such link does not portray IPcheckly.com or its services in a false, misleading, or otherwise objectionable manner. However, you may not use framing techniques or otherwise enclose any trademarks, logos, or proprietary information of IPcheckly.com without prior written consent.

IPcheckly.com makes no representations or warranties regarding, and accepts no responsibility for, any third-party websites that may be accessible through links on the Service, or any websites that link to the Service. Once you leave the Service, these Terms and any applicable policies of IPcheckly.com no longer apply.

The Service may include content provided by users or third parties. Such content is not reviewed, verified, or endorsed by IPcheckly.com and may contain inaccuracies or incomplete information. IPcheckly.com makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of such content. You acknowledge that your use of and reliance on any content available through the Service is at your own risk.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ALL CONTENT AND FEATURES MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH IT, IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT ANY REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IPcheckly.com DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IPcheckly.com SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF IPcheckly.com HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN ALL CASES, THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF IPcheckly.com FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID, IF ANY, TO IPcheckly.com FOR THE USE OF THE SERVICE.

THIS LIMITATION OF LIABILITY SHALL APPLY TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EVEN IF ANY REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless IPcheckly.com, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use or misuse of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
  • Your infringement of any rights of a third party

This obligation also applies to any use of the Service through your account.

13. Copyright Complaints

IPcheckly.com respects intellectual property rights and complies with applicable copyright laws, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Policy

In appropriate circumstances, and at its sole discretion, IPcheckly.com may suspend or terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.

14. Governing Law

These Terms, and any disputes arising out of or related to them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Great Britain, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

15. Jurisdiction

You agree that any disputes arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Great Britain.

You further consent to the exercise of personal jurisdiction in such courts and agree that you will not bring or participate in any class action, class arbitration, or other representative proceeding against IPcheckly.com.

16. Termination

IPcheckly.com reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, pose a security risk, or if your use of the Service may result in legal liability or harm to IPcheckly.com or its users.

Upon termination, you must immediately cease all use of the Service and delete any data obtained through it.

All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect, including but not limited to provisions relating to ownership, disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and IPcheckly.com regarding the use of the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, or understandings.

18. Feedback

If you provide any feedback, suggestions, or comments regarding the Service (“Feedback”), you hereby assign to IPcheckly.com all rights, title, and interest in and to such Feedback, including any associated intellectual property rights.

IPcheckly.com may use such Feedback for any purpose, without restriction or obligation to you.
